Chinese:
- Listening: I can understand the meaning when I hear the Chinese words “情人节(Valentine's Day),爱(love),朋友(friend),我的(mine),自行车(bicycle),轮子(wheel),骑(ride),害怕(afraid / frightened),帮忙(help),卡片(card),星星(star),心(heart),换(change / exchange)”.
- Speaking: I can say the words “I can understand the meaning when I hear the Chinese words “情人节(Valentine's Day),爱(love),朋友(friend),我的(mine),自行车(bicycle),轮子(wheel),骑(ride),害怕(afraid / frightened),帮忙(help),卡片(card),星星(star),心(heart),换(change / exchange)”.
- Reading: I can read the Chinese characters “几(how many),年(year),星期(week)”.
- Writing: I can follow my teacher and write the Chinese characters “几(how many),年(year),星期(week)” in a correct way.
Math:
- I understand the make 10 strategy.
- I can put ">, =, <" correctly between a number and an addition / subtraction. For example, 3+2 > 4.
Homework:
- 1 - Practice listening or speaking Chinese for a few minutes each day. Practice by talking to parents (even if they don't understand what you are saying), siblings, your stuffed animals, or even yourself in the mirror. You can go here for language videos. - 2 - Class DoJo Assignment: Class DoJo tasks get updated on Mondays and due on Sundays, students have one week's time (or longer if there's a holiday) to complete the task. Please check the Class DoJo app or website for the latest homework updates.
- Test:
- We will take Chinese test 10 on Feb 21, Friday. Students can prepare for the test with studying MMX-K Lesson 10 on Quizlet and practicing writing of characters in MMX-K Lesson 10 on Chinese Writing. (Please note that writing practice at home is ONLY recommended when the students are under supervision and can be reminded to write with CORRECT stroke order.)
