Chinese: 

  • Listening: I can understand the meaning when I hear the Chinese words “女孩子（girls），男孩子（boys），蓝色（blue），红色（red），水杯（water bottle），书包（backpack），午餐包（lunch box），外套（jacket），明白（understand）， 对不对？（correct or not），准备好了吗？（Are you ready?）”.
  • Speaking: I can say the words “女孩子（girls），男孩子（boys），蓝色（blue），红色（red），水杯（water bottle），书包（backpack），午餐包（lunch box），外套（jacket），明白（understand）， 对/不对（correct /not correct），准备好了!（I'm ready! ）”. 
  • Writing: I can follow my teacher and copy the 7 basic character strokes in a correct way: “点（dot stroke)，横（horizontal stroke)，竖（vertical stroke)，撇（left falling stroke)，捺（right falling stroke)，提（rising stroke) and 勾（hook stroke)”. 

Math:

  • I can do hand gestures for "+", "-", "=" and I understand when my teacher says these in Chinese.
Homework:  
  • 1 - Practice listening or speaking Chinese for a few minutes each day. Practice by talking to parents (even if they don't understand what you are saying), siblings, your stuffed animals, or even yourself in the mirror. You can go here for language videos.  Record time spent practicing Chinese on the homework planner page.
